What is vocal coaching?
Vocal coaching is one-to-one guidance for your voice. You work on technique (breath, tone, range and control), on musicality and on how you deliver a song. Singing lessons usually start with the basics; vocal coaching also covers interpretation, presentation and confidence. At Vocal Impact, singer Loukia Mei offers both, in English or Dutch, tailored to your level and your goals.
Every voice has its own colour and character. The aim isn’t to sound like someone else, but to make your own voice stronger, freer and more expressive.
About Loukia
Loukia Mei: singer and vocal coach
Loukia Mei is a dynamic singer known for powerful performances. She gives well-known songs her own colour, blending her cultural background with improvisation.
She studies jazz and pop vocals at the ArtEZ conservatory and works as a vocal coach. Her lessons connect technique with what she learns on stage herself: singing is about more than hitting the right notes.

No experience or instruments needed. Just your voice, your body and the group. Loukia comes to your location, and runs the session in English or Dutch.

What is the difference between singing lessons and vocal coaching?
Singing lessons build the foundation: breath, tone, pitch and range. Vocal coaching builds on that and also covers interpretation, presentation and confidence on stage. At Vocal Impact the two overlap: Loukia starts from where you are and what you want to achieve.
Where do the lessons take place?
At Loukia's own studio space in Utrecht (you receive the address after your request), at your home or another location in the Utrecht and Amsterdam area up to about 50 kilometres, or online.
How long is a lesson?
Most lessons last 45 minutes or longer. The length depends on your goal, your experience and the lesson format.
Can adults still learn to sing?
Yes. Your voice is an instrument you can train at any age. Adults often learn very consciously: they know what they want and practise with focus. You don't need any experience to start.
How much do singing lessons cost?
The price depends on the lesson length, the format (Loukia's studio space, your location or online) and the number of lessons. You receive the rates when you send a request.
Can I book Loukia for a performance or wedding?
Yes. Loukia performs in cafés, clubs, at events and at weddings, including Greek weddings. Solo, as a duo or with her band.
